Beli Manastir

The largest town of Baranja, the easternmost corner of Croatia between the Drava and the Danube, named after a 14th century monastery that once stood here.

Beli Manastir sits in Slavonia, a part of Croatia with its own character, and the city & town is the reason most people stop.

Mornings are quieter and cooler. Most old towns wake up slowly, so an early coffee is worth the effort.

Best time to visit

For Beli Manastir, May to October is the dependable window. June and September are ideal, warm and lighter on crowds than July and August. In winter the country turns quieter and cheaper, especially in the inland cities.
