Gospić

The largest town in Lika, standing on the edge of the Velebit massif. The surrounding villages, including nearby Smiljan, are the birthplace of the inventor Nikola Tesla.

Gospić sits in Lika & Gorski Kotar, a part of Croatia with its own character, and the city & town is the reason most people stop.

Mornings are quieter and cooler. Most old towns wake up slowly, so an early coffee is worth the effort.
