Krkic Waterfall Knin

Once thought to be the largest Adriatic island, Krk has been settled since Roman times. The Glagolitic Baška tablet, a key monument of the Croatian language, was found here in the 11th century.

Best time to visit

Aim for May to October at Krkic Waterfall Knin, and within that, June and September for warm water without the peak crowds. High summer means heat and queues; winter, by contrast, is quiet, cheap and surprisingly handsome inland.
