Plaża Okrug is a beach that lives up to the postcards, clear water, real atmosphere, and a reason to arrive before the crowds.
What to know
Plaża Okrug stands in Dalmatia, one of the six regions that make up the Croatia most visitors fall for. From the Adriatic shore to the karst mountains and the quiet inland valleys, this part of the country gives you something worth the detour.
Get there early or late in the day to dodge the crowds and catch the best light. Bring reef shoes, many of Croatia’s finest coves are smooth pebble rather than sand.
Practical info
- Entry: check the official site for today’s price and hours. These move with the seasons, and some locations close fully outside the main window.
- How to get there: Use the map above for directions. Town parking is usually paid and signposted, watch for the blue P zones, and allow extra time if a ferry is part of your route.
When to go
Plan Plaża Okrug for May to October, with June and September the quietest warm months. July and August bring the crowds and the heat; winter is cheaper and handsomer than people expect, especially in the inland cities.
