Rab Town

An island known for its four bell towers on the old town skyline. Rab claims to be the birthplace of nudist tourism in Europe, started by King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson in 1936.

Rab Town sits in Kvarner, a part of Croatia with its own character, and the city & town is the reason most people stop.

Mornings are quieter and cooler. Most old towns wake up slowly, so an early coffee is worth the effort.

The best window for Rab Town runs May to October. June and September balance warmth and thinner crowds; July and August are busy and hot. Out of season, winter shows a calmer, cheaper Croatia that rewards the inland cities.
